Has anyone tried loading TinyXP in Parallels? When I try to install via Parallels I keep being asked for a Product Key, but when I install it on, say, a laptop or other PC, it never asks for a Product Key.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and the fix or work-around.

BTW, it's TinyXP Beast Edition.

Peace

M

I've heard of users using TinyXP in Parallels. Apparently it runs very well even with only 128 MB of RAM.

6/6/06 edition, eh?

I have used xplite in parallels. Don't install it as XP install it as "other OS" (or whatever that option is). Because xplite has built in serial number you have to install it this way.

i took sae's advice. worked for me. the only problem is now it won't go full screen. i don't know if that's because of tinyxp or the way it was installed, but it's a bit annoying. anybody else having this problem?

I know this is an older thread, but I found out how to run TinyXP within Parallels correctly. IF you go thru the standard process, the installation DOES ask for a product key, even though the key is embedded.

BUT you can find out the key. Firstly, mount the TinyXP iso file from within OSX. Find the folder I386. Within this is a file called winnt.sif - open this with TextEdit and you'll find the user data AND Product Key! Copy this into the required fields in the installation within Parallels and it will all work fine. My TinyXP was also the Beast btw.

AND you can you the Parallel Tools AND full screen mode etc.

I hope this is useful to someone... :)
