My parents asked me to look into it for them and their is a ton of places that sell sims. It kinda reminds me of the prepaid phone cards in the 90's. A lot of those were scams so I'm a little hesitant to recommend them one. I'm not sure if their phones are carrier locked. If they are I have an extra 5C and 5S that I can just give them for the trip that are unlocked, if necessary.

Does anyone have any experience with these. I would love to have some advise about a specific carrier. I was thinking O2 but only because I have seen their name on soccer jerseys and therefore assume they are a major company and not likely to be fake cards.

Thanks!

O2 are fine. we use them for our place of work.

you can order them online via the 02 website. or better yet go into an actual O2 shop. London is full of phone shops so shouldn't be an issue.

They can get a pay as you go sim (not sure if this is what you mean by a pre paid one?) they an top up £10 to get
2GB data
4G ready
250 minutes
1000 texts

not sure if this is much help :)

Sorry for waking up old thread. But O2 is worst network in UK. I recomend EE. Best network coverege and speed. And yeah WiFi Calling in London Tube as well.

@LTENETWORK I would like to know why you call O2 the worst network in the UK?

Spaniel95 network coverege, quality, speed is crap. I been O2 customer 2 years. Now I'm 4 years EE customer and I don't have problem with signal, internet speed, and even abroad no strange extra charges on my bill.

pray you dont have to deal with their customer services. i have been with them all over the years, 02 customer service is bad too but EE takes it to a whole new level.

I personally have found that O2 customer service has been brilliant, and considering I live close to a mast and work nearby, I never have any signal issues. However at my parents house, everyone has moved away from EE/EE powered providers to O2.
