Parrallels on Quad Core?

I am by no means a computer expert. I am considering on of the quad core imacs but want to know if the new quad core mac run parallels 4.0. I know the core duos will. Thanks for answering my question and to everyone who posts all the great info on the site.

I thought I read that Parallels did not run on the powerpc macs so I thought the chip in the computer had something to do with whether or not it would run parallels. Thanks for the reply
