Can I erase only a few items on a CD-RW or do I have to erase the entire volume in orer to change the contents on the disc? Is there a program that allows one to accomplish this or does OS X already have the capability?

It's been ages since I've used cdrw discs, but it depends on how they were written.

If you wrote to them as to a regular cdr, I think you'll have to erase the entire thing.

If you use them as you would a floppy disc, you should be able to just erase the parts that you want. Don't know if this still exists these days (there were a few not 100% compatible standards about 10 years ago).

EDIT: spelling

When I try to remove an item from the disc it says that I do not have the privelages to remove the item. How can I change that?
