So I have El Capitan on a partition. I had beta on there but deleted it and installed a clean version of the final on a larger partition than before. I'm moving things over from Yosemite and had to resize the partition. On Yosemite it's super easy. But on El Capitan it said to resize partition you need to just drag the partition tool. Simple enough I thought. Instead it just creates another partition. I was worried before doing it that it would do this as it showed another line. But I couldn't get it to move without a line. So far it's the one feature I hate. I'm glad I still have Yosemite for my Yosemite needs. So is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Now I can't seem to resize my El Capitan Partition at all. I can't enlarge either on them. I can only shrink them and in doing so will just create another partition. Anyone know a better way of doing this? Going back to Yosemite I seem to only have the option of resizing my Yosemite partition to how it was. I can't seem to change the size of the El Capitan at all.
I agree. I'm trying to do it through the Rescue Disk and it won't work either. Any one know of a free 3rd party utility that will work?
It wont even boot into my Yosemite Rescue Disk. It'll boot into everything else.
Also I learned that with Yosemite's Disk Utility I can't move space into my secondary partition. Basically I can't move it up. Is their a way to change this orientation so it shows El Capitan first and the Yosemite as Secondary?
