Hello everyone
I intend to buy a MacBook Pro within the coming weeks and retiring my Toshiba laptop from active duty. I would like to continue using Windows XP though since I don't have mac versions of the some of the applications readily available.
Now my dilemma is this. Since OS X cant write NTFS and Windows wont go near HFS, Id like to make a common data drive formatted in FAT32 where all the music, pictures, videos, terms papers and the like will go. With the 160GB drive Im thinking about, the break down would be:35GB to Windows and 60 to OS X and the common FAT32 Data drive leaving a 5ishGB open space to be dealt with at a later time. Also the Windows partition would eventually be reduced by 5-10GBs to accommodate Linux once Boot Camp stabilizes .
So the question is, is this possible? and if so, how would I go about doing this and not ruining a brand new mac?
Thanks for your help!
