Partitioning?

A few things to keep in mind:
1. When you partition it, you will lose everything that is on the hard drive currently if you use Disk Utility thats build into OS X.
2. If you want to partition the hard drive without lose information, check out DiskStudio from Micromat. They're the makers of TechTool Pro 4, which is a great hard disk utility.

3. Some OS X apps will ONLY install/run on the bootable volume (partition). Apple's applications are some that do that.
