Hi! I have a problem, every time I erase a partition from my main Hard Drive using Disk Utility it deletes it but the space left is being stored on the Recovery HD. Now I have a Recovery partition size of 50 GB. This happens every time I erase a partition.

I know how to restore the Recovery HD as it was before. I want to know why that is happening on Disk Utility and how can I be assured that won't happen again

How are you erasing? You need to command-option-r boot to Internet recovery and erase the drive from there to kill off that recovery partition.
