Parts required to upgrade mid 2011 iMac to SSD?

I have a mid 2011 27" iMac and I'm going to buy a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo SSD and the carrier to fit the 2.5" drive. Do I also need this Thermal Sensor cord from OWC?:

Yes, you need the digital thermal sensor.

And yes, that 2.5" to 3.5" adapter would work.
