Man, can these last 2 weeks drag by any slower? I am going crazy with anticipation. What are you guys doing to pass the time? I've been laid off my job since Thanksgiving due to lack of work so I have nothing to do. I wish I could take like 5 boxes of Ambien CR and fall asleep for 2 weeks (lol just playing). I need to find something to do to make the time go by quicker.

Get laid

I will continue to game into oblivion, talk about iPad, walk about iPad, continue weighing random objects to see if they weigh 680g to see how heavy the iPad will be, play with my paper print out, argue about iPad, watch parts of the Keynote again, and come to macrumors every day looking for more iPad.

To be honest, I'd be too stressed over finding a job to lose sleep over an iPad. No offense.

Sorry, I didn't explain it further. I didn't lose my job, they'll call me back when they get more work so until then I am on unemployment. Trust me, if I didn't have a job I'd be out there looking 24-7 until I got one. So since its just a waiting game, I am looking forward to the iPad more than ever.

To start another discussion, is anyone else irritated that Apple decided to focus on getting more television studios onboard rather than book and magazine publishers? I'd rather have more books, magazines, and newspapers readable on the iPad than TV shows. I hope my local newspaper (The Cincinnati Enquirer) is able to be subscribed to on the iPad.

Honestly, I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of TV deals are going to be made if Apple can make it happen. I only will care to read books on my iPad. I am hoping that I will be able to get textbooks on my iPad before I go off to college next year. That's what I'm really hoping for instead of magazines/newspapers.

 I don't know how anyone's day to day life would change just because the iPad releases in a couple weeks. I don't know about anyone else, but I go about my day pretty much the same way as I did before I knew about the iPad.

Just because an article focused on TV studios doesn't mean Apple isn't in works with book, magazine, and newspaper publishers. Remember, journalists tend to take a little bit of information and blow it up into what they call a story or an article. They can't possibly know all the details of Apple's or any other company's dealings.

Sorry, ignore that person behind the curtain

"Several recent reports suggest textbook publishers have already begun converting textbooks for the iPad platform. Several companies are also working on apps that provide additional interactive content such as quizzes, study guides, and test-prep materials.[via MacRumors]"

I always comment to myself how fast the weeks always fly by. Before you know it is Friday already. Guess it helps to have a job you like. So even though I am as anxious for iPad as anyone else, I can rest assured it will be here soon. Already the third week pre-iPad launch flew by...I anticipate the next two weeks to be no different.

Weeelllll I'm a freshman in high school, so there's that Mon-Fri. Watching Community on hulu, lurking on the iPad web-page, watching the keynote, introduction video, the TV commercial, and some HD hands on videos on YouTube... Yeeaahhh.. I'm not gonna lie I wish I could sleep for the next two weeks. :D

Read all of the Harry Potter books or maybe all of Vernor Vinge's books? When you get engrossed in a good book time flies.

Greg

Didn't even read the post, only the title but I know what you mean. When I order something, something "big", online I become obsessed with checking shipping status and much more, even if I KNOW it wont ship for a couple of days... I really have a problem, lol. But now, not only am I going to go crazy tracking it when it ships, but I actually have to wait 2 weeks BEFORE it even ships... AHHHHHHHHH... . :(

Read all of the Harry Potter books

GREAT IDEA! I may just go to wally world tomorrow and see what the deal on a complete package is. :) THANKS

Its not like I'm not living my life before the iPad was announced. Its just the fact I know I will have one in 2 weeks is driving me nuts. I keep coming on this forum to see if anyone has found anything new. Then I go to Gizmodo/Engadget to see if they have anything new to report on the iPad. I just wish the time would go quicker. It feels like Christmas but better, lol.

And cry because I'm getting the 3G late April or May

I thought about waiting but I really, really, really want one. So what I decided to do is buy a wifi on the third, then when the 3g comes out I will buy one of those and sell the wifi on craigslist or something, or give it to my sister who's birthday is on April 3rd

Educate your self

If you are really bored, how about spending $99 and join the Developers Group. Then you can play with the programming of the device and see how it really works, and as a plus, you can play with the iPad Simulator.

Just a Thought.

I watch the SlashGear iPad demo video over and over

Thanks for this. I had never seen it and the keynote tends to put me to sleep (short attention span). This hands-on is very cool (and long).

Edit: Although you end up feeling bad for the Apple sales rep when they keep asking her the hard questions. She's not really handling them with aplomb. "So is it stereo?" "Uh, no, it's just a single speaker." Going out of her way to avoid the word 'mono'.

You sound like a sane, mature, and emotionally balanced individual. What are you doing in this thread?

Has anyone else tried gin and Newman's Own limeade? It's just tart enough to get your attention, but still has a kind of satisfying stickiness that is just right for the first day of spring. In my humble opinion.

I'm feeling pretty patient. The anticipation and speculation is fun. And today Breaking Bad Season 3 is providing plenty of distraction.

Exactly what I do everyday.
