I was bad. I used the passwd command in openSSH while running 1.1.3, and now its stuck in an endless springboard reboot. I get the edit home screen popup, and then it restarts within 10 seconds...

iTunes won't recognize it, but I still can still get a SSH connection...

I changed the password back to alpine, still restarting.

Any tips? How do I get iTunes to recognize it to restore?

IIRC you need to replace the passwd binary with the one from the firmware (ie need to extract it). And there may have been one other file too. Sorry for being a bit vague but hope it gets you going in the right direction.

BTW, if you just want to wipe and restore it, you should still be able to start it in DFU mode to do that.
