okay so I changed my password from Alpine to something else only I know.

But my question is, when I log in under root the password alpine doesn't work anymore...but when I log in under Mobile, my new password doesn't work but alpine does.

Am I still at risk?

What's the diff between root & mobile anyhow?

Thanks to all who contribute.

Yes. You are at risk. You need to change the 'mobile' account too.

I also advise using the SBSetting's add-on to toggle SSHD on/off when not in use.

Root is God.

Mobile is just a user.

Root can access everything on the device and do what it likes.

Mobile can only access its own directly and is far less powerful, although still change the password.

How did you try and change the mobile account password.

You should've typed in
Code:
sudo passwd mobile
and then your new password twice
