I have a few iMacs at my office and they are authenticated through a Windows Active Directory. Everything works well, except the iMac users get a prompt that their password will expire in XX days every time they log in. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but of course the users are highly annoyed that it reminds them to change their password right after they changed it.

I googled and found this but it just gives a cannot write error: "defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow PasswordExpirationDays -int 7"

Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!!

Add "sudo " to the beginning of the command to give yourself access to modify it. Assuming you are using an admin account.
