Password for OS Updates?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Mountain Lion will require my password to install os updates now that they're being handled through the Mac App Store?

For example, when 10.8.1 gets released - will I be prompted for my password to download this update?

im not sure

but they are REMOVING that requirement for iOS in the next update..

theres no updates for me atm, so i cant test it

Not sure about OS updates, but I'm downloading the additional instruments and loops for Garageband right now and it didn't ask for my password. My guess is no.
