Dear All,

Bit of heretofore unseen funkiness that I wanted to compare notes with y'all:

Relogged into my MacMini account from sleep (w/password). There had already been an audio CD in the drive prior to mac going to sleep. Just as the MacMini is fully loading the desktop etc., after logging in, I decide to eject the disc. Drag the disc icon to the trash, and after a second I'm prompted to give the admin password. After doing so, nothing. Right click the disc and it ejects. No problems after that, so far.

Except, I'd never been prompted for a password in that situation, with my existing settings. Any idea what just happened to prompt the password request? Could ejecting the CD do it if the CD was still being read?

Thanks in advance for any and all help. :apple:

never encountered that but mine prompts me for the keychain password for my email client on every restart which is rather annoying

hmm...don't use keychain, myself.

ugh...i wish i paid more attention to the prompt box, but it was the standard admin authentication box. I hope I didn't inadvertently let something nasty in
