Anyone else have this problem? Got a new Mac Pro 7,1, 'command+C' copies, but 'command+V' doesn't paste??

In working with MacOS for many years, this can happen. It can happen within an app (like Word) between a family of apps (like Word to PPT) or between apps (like FFox to Word). Sometimes I have to go to the menu bar at the top and select Edit Paste. Other times restart the app, and still other times reboot.

I’ve found this before. It seems an added security measure, and happens here&there when you have to introduce a password or serial number. I think it’s intended, as to require a human reading and writing; no pasting allowed.
It’s the only situation I’ve met this behavior.

there's also
Option-Shift-Command-V: Paste and Match Style: Apply the style of the surrounding content to the item pasted within that content.

on certain Websites i encounter that same issue and this helps

if some serials come from a win emulator, ctrl-c works ;)
