Wow.

Just got a 20" iMac 2.4 running Vista and there is a very noticeable backlight issue on the 'Blank' screensaver (I first noticed when the OS was loading)

It almost looks as if there is a 'cloud' inside the screen but you can't see it when you are sat face on.

Can anybody else try a black screen and post the results?

Anyone? I really don't want to go through the hassle of exchanging if all show signs of this.

Best way to check if yours has it is to download the Dead pixel checker, put it on a black screen, turn all your lights off and draw the curtains etc then move around the screen and inspect for the clouds/patches.

I know it sounds extreme but what happens when I want to watch a film etc?
