So I gym with my air pod pros in noise cancelling mode. If someone comes over to speak I’d like to pause the music and switch to transparency mode in one click. How do I do this? Currently I either have to pull an AirPod out and risk dropping it, or alternatively, click to pause then long press to switch from noise cancelling to transparency.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards.

To my knowledge, it's the only way to do it. I have AirPods Pro first gen. You have to click to pause then old for transparency. But I don't find that to be an issue on my side all happens quickly enough.

With iOS 17, Adaptive Audio is going to do this for you. Also upcoming Conversation Awareness feature will be helpful for this situation. But a note is that it is only available for Gen 2.

Yea, I think it's the only way. I'll try to play around with it today and see if there is another way but don't think so.
