Pay and Go WiFi only

O2 have said I can put a Pay ang Go sim into my old 2G iphone. But I would need a £10/month bolt on for unlimited data download otherwise it is £3/Mb.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to restrict data download to WiFi only and not over the cellular network (which appears to be the default and which could be unexpectedly expensive)

Hi

Think you would need to install bossprefs so that you can turn that part off. Would also would have to have firmware 1.1.4 until 2.0 has been sorted as its not a app store app

Thanks... that is what I would be after...but I don't want to hack down the firmware... will have to wait till it turns up on the app store

In Settings - General - Network - Cellular Data Network just edit the APN with an extra dot at the end so it won't connect properly.
