Ok...I now have a work phone, and it is a huge pain to have two phones. I would like to switch the Sim Card over, and pay for the data package on my Iphone separately. Of course At&T says no. That would be customer friendly, so they won't do it. Any suggestions here (no, the company won't pay for it).

Thanks

Well the first question I want to ask is:

What is your actual work phone? Is it a blackberry or iphone?

And no, ATT (or any other world providers of the iPhone) offers a data only package. It's not just ATT.

RIM does offer data only packages with their blackberry devices.

I had a very similiar thing going on. Look like my new company phone would be at&t, i was going to have to buy the Iphone, company would pay the bill, but I would have to pay them for the data piece. We were going to set this up as a payroll deduction, since it was going to be a constant amount.

Maybe you can try that. Bigger the company, more likely they wont agree.

And as it turns out, I am getting stuck with a Verizon flip phone now, as they didnt let us do the cell plan locally, but are doing it out of HQ, ugg, damn. So now I will have two phones and have to buy my own IPhone.

Good luck
