I have ordered £80 worth of iPad accessories on Apple.com using my debit card.

The funds have been authorised and being held for when the items are shipped.

Going into my order, under payment method there is my card number which is all correct. The thing is that that card is now unusable and I'm being sent a new one with a new number for the same account.

Does anyone know if this will make any difference when they finally move the money over properly as the current card number would have been stopped by next week??

Only Apple is going to be able to give you an answer to this question that you can count on. Why not just call them?

I did, they said it should be fine, but i also had a feeling he had no idea what i was talking about. I also wanted the opinion of the fine people in this forum!!

You'll be fine, if anything Apple will contact you saying it needs to be updated and you shouldn't lose your place in line. You would just give them the new info if the card info they have doesn't work.

I work at a bank, this is the usual procedure ;)
