I had my paypal account for 5 years. One day last week I got an email from them saying that my account had been put on some limit thing due to all the refunds I have sent and refunds I have been given. In my 5 years of service I have only given out one refund due to the fact I sent the wrong item to someone. The refund I was given was due to a miscommunication with a service I was subscribed to through paypal. Only two issues in 5 years yet I get put on limits of getting my money I make? Are you freaking kidding me???

Are you sure it was actually Paypal? My mother has Paypal and she gets fake e-mails all the time.

Nope, I got that awhile ago. It seems they do random sweeps and just randomly put payment holds on seldom used accounts - my paypal got a hold put on it with 85 100% positive feedbacks and no history of chargebacks or returns. I called customer service but they said that there "was nothing they could do" as the holds were applied automatically by the system.
I promptly closed my account, and have not dealt with ebay/paypal since.
