You realize how long it takes to upload a 100GB 4K video and transfer it wirelessly? What are people actually still doing that needs wired data transfer? It’s been years since I last did any sort of sync using a cord.
Well, I have gigabit up and down wireless at home, so probably not as long as some. You realize how long it takes to upload a 100GB 4K video and transfer it wirelessly?
I haven't used the lightning cable for anything but charging for years...I am curious what you are using it for "?Well done, Apple. Well done.

That makes sense for people who do post processing. Us amateurs don’t really run into this issue.I moved my video workflow to iPhone with a 1TB model. I don't shoot Pro Res but I do HEVC 4K @ 60FPS and when I'm out all day I can either wait overnight for my iPhone to upload to iCloud or plug in and wait an hour. USB-C would be amazing. AirDrop isn't reliable for me using massive video files.

You guys have made your case. I get it.Understood, just wanted to give you an example. Apple added HDR, ProRes and modes like Action and Cinematic with support for line-in via Lightning and yet limit you to USB2 to get data off the device. It's pretty problematic especially when the product videos show production crews shooting with iPhones when all I can think of is that poor intern with 20 iPhones sitting in a tray all connected to a dock waiting for videos to transfer.
It’s like apple intentionally wants to make ppl that actually use their equipment for WORK hate using their devices. Their lack of true automation like macrodroid or tasker is another massive flaw in their product.I like my iPhone and my iPad; I have to use two different charging cables and it is 2022. Thank you, Apple!
