I've got connections ;)

I am just waiting for pictures, I am jumping all over this!

Also, does anyone know how hard/easy it is to upgrade the hard drive in one of these computers, I think 40 might be too small, looking for at least 80.

Let me know.

i'd cover my a$$ before i bought that. Meet the person to pick it up, make sure it works and get the seral # to make sure its not stolen.

Hard drive replacement in PowerBooks is somewhat involved, but definitely doable. Just make sure you keep track of which screws go where.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to do the job.

Ammm. One thing I`d absolutely make sure is APPLECARE. Is it still under warranty? Coz once your first year expires you cant buy AppleCare for the PB. And just imagine if after a couple of months your logic board dies. I m Prayin for you that it does not. Coz that wud put you back by arround 300-400$(my guess.appx.). Almost as much as you paid for the PB. So if was in your place, I wont buy any Mac where I cant add 2 more years of Complete Satisfaction.

On second thoughts, I`d heard there are some other companies which also offer gurantee for Macs. These generally are not more expensive than apple care and cover you PB for accidental damages/theft/lost etc too. But I m not sure exactly what is covered under their policies(Coz I dont live in US of A. So never tried one). If the PB can be covered under any such policy or applecare AND you are willing to spend that much extra, only then I`d recommend you to buy this/any second hand Mac.
But thats just my 2cents. It`s your money, your decision.

This model of PB was discontinued just over two years ago...very doubtful it's still within the one-year window for AppleCare purchase.

I'm sure it's a good deal. Even if it dies in next few months, you'll probably get what you spend by selling these parts.
