Pb 12" Lid Won't Close!!!

I think the magnet or something is not working anymore.

Its just been shy of a year

Can I get it fixed somehow?!??!

Shy of year means less than a year, right? Then it should still be covered by warranty. Contact Apple and they should be able to fix it.

they won't say its "phsyical damage" will they?

cuz i dint' bash it at all.

earlier this year, the cushion cloth thing that sits inside the dvd slot broke off and the guy said he couldn't repair it because it wasn't covered...

i can accept not having a cushion. can't accept my laptop not closing!

is this a common problem?

I don't think it's a problem that happens a lot, but I remember reading about some similar problems back in the days. It was something about a the pin that's pulled down as you close the lid becoming misaligned.
