Hey there. I have been using the iOS 11 PB ever since it first arrived and have been super happy with it on my IPP 12.9 2nd gen. I have only experienced a few glitches, to be expected with any beta. I have not used a beta before this year’s one and I was wondering what happens when the actual finished iOS is released as a software download to everyone - how do people on a beta get the complete iOS?

I know in the past I had to delete the beta profile then check for the final version open to everyone. I would then download the final version. At least with iOS 10 I could not tell any difference between the final beta and public release.

As soon as the final iOS 11 is released to everybody, delete the beta profile from your device, restart it and check for any software updates. If the latest (GM) beta is not different from the official release, no need to install anything until the next update, like 11.1, etc. Once the beta profile is removed you will stay in this “general public” mode, so no more betas.

If you want to have the purest iOS 11 experience once it is out for everybody or still have some glitches, you may want to back-up and then wipe your device clean and restore it to the latest iOS 11 version.

I went through this path (PB - normal releases) last year with iOS 10, no issues at all.
