So is anyone else on GM and being asked to installed PB3? This is annoying how do you get rid of the notification and get rid of PB3 as an update. I installed the GM while I had the PB profile installed. I uninstalled it after and hard reset but still no luck of getting rid of it. Has anyone tried backing up while on iOS 9 and then reinstalling iOS 9 from the back up? Will it still show PB3 as an update?

Go into Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage. Storage > Manage Storage and delete the PB 3 download/install file. (Judging by your screenshot it's been fully downloaded because it only shows install as the button)

Once it's deleted, then go and delete the profile that was required for public beta that's found near the bottom of the General list. Then reboot the phone (home + power.) That should take care of it and worked for me.

I'm getting that too and deleting the profile/rebooting wouldn't work. This is happening, of course, because we're going from PB to GM. I wonder, now that you're on the GM, if you made a backup in iTunes with the removed profile settings, then did another restore, would that remove the problem since the profile gets copied over from the backup.

I went from PB 3 to GM. I updated with a ipsw file I downloaded off torrent. And option + clicked update in iTunes and selected the file. Didn't need to restore from anything, it was a straight upgrade.

I ran PB3, deleted the beta profile, restored from IPSW and loaded backup on to the phone. And I have the notification in Sertings too, yet no way to delete any temporary beta files as lagwagon describes?

FWIW, here are two more screenshots of Settings with a notification and one from when it's opened.

I ended up letting PB3 download and install, then removed the profile and used the ipsw to update again (with iTunes).

I deleted the PB3 and Profile after I updated via iTunes to iOS 9 GM. Then I did an iCloud backup and then did the Restore method to iOS 9 GM in iTunes. Restored from my iCloud backup and it fixed it. Also seemed to really help my iPhone and iPad overall.

You've said that before. Saying it again is not helpful.

Well at least I was able to delete the fully downloaded "update", but the badge is still on my Settings icon after following these steps. *sigh*

Thanks

I no longer have the beta profile. I updated by finding the IPSW file via torrent and downloaded it. Installed via iTunes.

Either download it from a torrent site or just wait till the 16th and get the public OTA.

The GM which people are installing from a torrent has a build number that is earlier than PB3, which would explain the behaviour being described..

I did install iPhone7,1_9.0_13A340_Restore.ipsw for 6+ and now it says update to public beta 3
Do you still have the beta profile installed? Do you have the PB 3 file downloaded on your device? If yes, delete the PB 3 file and remove the profile.

If I do this I will be able to do upgrade to GM? Or message about PB3 dissapear?
Or iPhone7,1_9.0_13A340_Restore.ipsw is GM

So I installed PB3 again when prompted. Deleted the Profile with PB3 installed. Shift Key update the GM and everything seems to be better. Says I'm up to date, doesn't prompt me to download and install PB3. And it doesn't show I have a pending update via notifications.

Hmm, that's weird. I did a shift+restore and loaded the backup afterwards, and I just can't get rid of the notification now. Sigh.

Did you reboot the phone AFTER deleting the profile and BEFORE doing the GM update via iTunes?

I installed the GM, saw that there was a PB 3 update available, deleted the PB profile, "updated" to PB 3, then installed the GM again.

Did you still have the beta profile still installed when you loaded the GM? I did. I have the stuck notification also. I was thinking of doing another backup and restore of the GM now that I have deleted the beta profile.
