I press update, then download and restart. The download bar flashes and then the update button is back. Anyone else have this bug? I restarted a few times with same result. Is there another way to dowload the update?

You also can get the update packages in apple's developer forums.

But be careful to follow instructions there. Other people who just get the packages and don't deal with them in the correct manner have not been able to update successfully.

Mine is just stuck on "calculating" and stays there forever, currently on beta 2. Any fix ?.

Doesn't work, I got a prompt to restart to download updates after a while but it just stays stuck on "0 bytes of 1.89 GB - calculating".

Well that's when you download via mac app store. That's not what I'm talking about.

You can download the installers themselves via a browser with the links in the developer forums. And it definitely does work. I just used them to update 2 computers.

I used terminal, but it just seemed to launch the App store after a few minutes. I read about the installer on the developer forums but couldn't find them, is there a link ?.

I tried updating to latest beta but when I pressed restart it just gets stuck on the screen that shows all my icons at the bottom but everything else is missing and I can't get off this screen. When I rebooted I tried to use safari to get help on my Mac and it doesn't launch at all and when I right click the safari icon it's always "not responding"...so frustrating I don't know what to do...

Here is the thread in the developer forums: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/54179 Don't just go there to get the files. Read what is written there too. Others who did not follow instructions carefully were unsuccessful.

That worked, the .pkg file for the public beta was already in the folder mentioned on the dev forums, but I just replaced it with the one there, restarted and worked fine :). Thanks.

Edit: Hmm, about this Mac says 16A286a, isnt that Beta 5 ?.

That is the build number for both DP5 and PB4.
