Hello all. I have read that there is a delay when pressing the home button to go to the home screen on iOS 11 PB5. 7 Plus users, is this the case? Or is it like similar to 10.3.3? Just curious before I potentially install it.

Was it instant on iOS 10? Because that's never been the case for any other devices. In which case I'd assume it's been added on purpose.

there is a noticeable difference on 10.3.3 versus 11 beta 6, maybe 0.25-0.5 seconds. I got used to it fairly quickly, though. it's not as bad as you think it is.

Zero delay with 10.3.3 on my 6s or air 2.

Why a delay on the current flagship iPhone 7 plus? Does this delay exist on all devices running 11 beta ? Any current gen iPad Pro users seeing this ?

Do you think it's an intentional change?
I saw a side by side comparison and there has been a change. All devices with physical home buttons have a delay that is a fraction of a second, I believe it was absent on the 7 series and has been added in iOS 11.

Maybe it’s to make multitasking easier to open since they removed the 3D Touch gesture.

Depends whether the latest gen iPads pros have similar experience. If they do, it could be it intentional change. If they don't, it could be not optimized for older hardware yet if at ever.

Yeah I notice the delay on my iPad Pro 12.9 1st gen, on the previous beta. From what I can remember, I have always noticed that slight delay on that iPad Pro. I'm just wondering if it was intentional or just a performance thing that hasn't been fixed yet.
