Hello folks, maybe you can help me out.
New iMac 24, formatted the SSD, installed PublicBeta via Recovery, transferred User from Laptop via TimeMachine. Several attempts to do so as the old CCC-method doesn't really seem to work anymore, so I had to use Migration assistant.

Everything seems to be running fine. User is admin. Installation etc has full disk access.

So the new PB5 arrives and I try to install it but get this message after ACCEPT (Eula, prior to the Download):
Installation failed
To continue the installation, you must be an owner.

On the MBP (M1 as well), it just works.

What am I doing wrong & is there some way to fix this?

I found very little of help online, short of re-installing, which... I ... just.. did. ;-) Maybe you have an idea.

Many many thanks, very much appreaciated

Okay it is the Token:

HDBook@iMac24 ~ % sysadminctl -secureTokenStatus HDBook
2021-08-12 21:31:48.922 sysadminctl[2033:16194] Secure token is DISABLED for user HDBook

Any new user / admin I now create also has the Secure Token disabled. Is there any (simple) way to fix this?

Can anyone help with this?

I can’t install PB 5. I’m on PB 4 and get promoted for a password when I click on restart. Seems like the password is accepted but then see the notification:

updates not installed, some updates could not be installed.

I have no idea why this is happening. I’ve checked my user account and it has admin privileges and I’m able to install other apps change settings.

anyone have any ideas as I’m stuck. PB 4 is far worse than Pb 3

I’m using an m1 mbp btw

Open the terminal on your Mac and run following command: sudo softwareupdate -i -a -R
