PBook Sticky Space Bar - Suggestions?

Lately the left side of the space bar on my 15inch Aluminum Pbook (where my thumb has been hitting it hundreds of times a day for a year and a half) has started not responding. It's like the sensor underneath is worn out or something. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this that wouldn't require me being without it for days while it's in the shop? I literally use this thing about 12 hours out of every day and can't afford to go even a day without it!

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Bring it to the Apple store and have a new KB put on it. They should be able to just do it without telling you to come back.

That would only work if he had the Apple extended warranty, since he stated a year and a half worth of tabbing.

If you get the right tech on the right day, sometimes it doesn't matter for little things like this (hopefully it's a little thing). It's worth a shot.

Just remove your spacebar and clean under it, most likely theres something under it.

Mine's been like this since new. Do they really do it that easily? Maybe worth a trip to Regent's Street on Saturday.
