What is the best way to integrate / sync e-mail and calendars for all of us in this situation? Can the iPhone be synced to two computers or is there another conduit that can be used to keep the PC at work (with outlook), the mac at home (running mail, contacts, calendar) and the iPhone?

I use Google Calendar and SyncMyCal. This syncs Outlook to Google Calendar, where I take the .ics file and add it to iCal on my Mac. Not perfect but it means I have synced calendars on my Mac, PC, the web and iPod.

that works great for iCal thanks! Now i need a solution for contacts.

You can sync to both and choose which items you want to sync. After I synced all my Outlook contacts with my PC, I ran a sync on my Mac and it asked me if I wanted to replace or merge my existing contacts. I chose merge and now I have everything together on the iPhone.

The only problem with that is it turns off the option to sync the items on the Info tab when you sync back to the PC again, so every time you switch computers you have to open up the Info tab in iTunes and turn those items back on again. It appears to assume that when you connect to a different computer, you want to change to that computer being the primary sync for the iPhone.

I will give thumbs up though to Apple for separating syncing music/video/etc. from the "PDA" information on the phone, so it works really well to get music from my home Mac and calendar/contacts from my work PC...

Is iTunes / iPhone good with converting between outlook contacts, calendars, and to do lists and the Mac equivalents? I junked all my contacts and calendars doing the same thing with a Palm (by junk I mean birthdays, anniversaries, repeating events where deleted or screwed up)

I've done a search and still haven't had this question answered satisfactorily. Can this be done or not?

I want to sync with my Mac, then take my iPhone to work and sync the contacts and calendars (Don't care about the music; that's not necessary). Is there an easy way to do this? I can do it now with my Palm Treo with no issues...I can't believe Apple would simply ignore this simple function..
