Looks like to set up without a PC the device needs WiFi. So if "all" apple devices are moving to the cloud, shouldn't it follow that the Nano and Clip move along too?

Will the next versions of both have WiFi?
Will Apple be mercy killing off the Nano and Clip since they are dying on their own anyway?

I doubt that either the nano or the shuffle will get wifi. Doesn't make sense.

I also doubt that either will be EOL'd. I see plenty of people buying the nano. The shuffle seems a little less popular, but Apple's gotta be making a killer margin on the shuffle.

WiFi on iPod Shuffle would be ridicolously awesome! VoiceOver App Store and Safari

Unless they run OS5 and they don't the answer is no but since OS5 is not coming till Fall there remains room for some interesting new iPods around then too. I think the shuffle and Nano are too small to support WIFI and it's battery needs. They could have that new low power bluetooth though. I'd like to see a Time Capsule or Apple TV be able to host iTunes for syncing.
