OS X Pc gaming on ipad / MacBook Air

Has anyone tried splashtop? I played xcom for a while today on my wife's ipad then I switched to my MacBook Air. Runs very smooth. I used an Xbox controller instead of the touchpad interface on the ipad.

I should clarify- splashtop is a Remote Desktop and my pc has a gtx670.
