pc hard drive to mac

I have a 40 gig hard drive in a pc machine that I want to use in my mac. I have everything off of it that I need. Do I just format the disc and put it in the mac and it will recognize it, or is there a more involved process that i need to go through?

Ok then. Just open up Disk Utility and format it for Mac.
