iPod PC --> Mac, keeping tags

Hey. I love my iTunes. I hate my Windows, but it's all I got, for now. Anyway, I've got my entire music on my iPod, and tagged the way I want it in iTunes. It took me a long time to do it; it's a task I don't care to repeat.

Now, when I do switch to a Mac, will all the tags remain in place even though I'll have to drag all the files into the library? I won't be able to recreate C:\Documents and Settings\etc\etc obviously, so my songs will be in whatever folder they go into in OSX. Are the tags gonna still be there, or am I in for the annoying process all over again?

I've got great news. You can keep all of your tags as well as your playlists if you transfer your iTunes folder (located in My Music) as well as your music files (wherever you stored them). This works even if you have filetypes in your library that can't store tags internally, like AIFF, WAV, and MIDI.

Sweeeet. I was getting worried about that. Now there's pretty much nothing keeping me from getting a Mac! Except the cost (still saving), and waiting for Mactels (unless they drop the prices on PPC units). Thanks!
