I have no sound on my computer! It is a software related issue and so I re-installed the software but it's asking for a CD-ROM other than the Installation Disk. It is a Creative Sound Blaster card. Any thoughts?

Have you made sure the volume is turned up in the Volume control?

Also, go into Audio Properties in the control panel (this is making me think a bit! It's been a while since I had a PC set up in my room), and then there should be something somewhere that says SPEAKERS. Make sure you have the right setup chosen here. NONE will result in... no sound!:p

Make sure SPDIF output isn't enabled or anything either.

Also, are the sockets on the soundcard colour coded? If so, then the speakers should be connected to the GREEN connection...

I dont wanna sound like a jerk, but perhaps a mac forums website isn't the best place to ask for pc help...
Anyways, maybe your sound card is dead or something, how long ago was it functioning properly?

A few..

1. Check your device manager for malfunctioning hardware-->right click my computer, go to properties, and click device manager and see if any yellow explanation points appear. If so there is a problem with the driver.

2. Go to http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ and download the latest drivers for your specific model.

3. Make sure you have all of your Windows updates. If you're running firefox (like you should be), you can get them at http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/whyuse.php

4. And maybe this should be numero uno, but try reseating the pci card.

Hope this helps and let me know what happens..
