PC to MBP Migration Issues

Tried to migrate my PC data to my new MBP. Tried several times. No luck. PC window shows 'Migrated successfully' and quit button.
MBP shows 'Tranferring Your Data', but hours of hours to complete. Progress bar does not move. Should I hit 'Quit Button' on PC.
Help...Please.

Issues with that go way, way back…but the issues could be different these days.

What's it supposed to be migrating? Documents and what else?

Performed data migration after initial setup of brand new MBP.

I think I'd just copy everything over using one of the "old-fashioned" ways…USB stick, external drive or file sharing over the network.

Try Brian's suggestion for the photos.
That is:
- Use an external USB drive
- Connect it to PC
- Navigate to where your photo library is on the PC, then copy the folder to the external drive
- Connect that to the new MBP
- Next, open the photo app you'll be using (Photos?), and choose "import" from the file menu.
- Are you able to import the pics that way?

Sometimes it works better to "bring over" data in "smaller chunks"...
