I had a 64GB kit of PC4-2400 lying around and I decided to see if it worked in my A2115, and sure enough, it boots up!

Will this cause problems down the road?

I ran my 2015 iMac for years with faster RAM than it came with from Apple and it was fine. I don't know about the 2020 models specifically.

Generally the RAM will downclock if the speed isn't supported and will be perfectly stable.

The 2020 model supports 2667, so it's the opposite scenario.
