PCI based SSD Haswell Mac Mini

If a new Haswell Mac Mini is going to have PCI based SSD, does that mean that I won't be able to replace the SSD if I want to?
Or install SSD instead of HD?

a PCI based SSD is a SSD that uses the PCI connection instead of a SATA connection. This is much faster then SATA 3 and the SSD is also a lot smaller then SATA based ones.

If the Minis form factor is changed and they opt for PCI SSDs then you wont be able to replace it. Well you could, but the SSD is going to be very very very very expensive as you are going to have to replace it with another PCI SSD and those arent exactly common. Its also possible apple will go for a small PCI SSD and then still have a SATA connection like in the iMacs. But given the minis starting price the chance of a PCI SSD is very slim.

It's PCIe and yes it will have a connector, you could replace it if you needed to.

Actually the SSDs in the next Mac Mini being PCIe based is very likely. In the quantity Apple is buying parts, there's no real price difference to them and they have fewer SSD parts they're buying.
