Okay, I have searched high and low across the internets for info on this and it seems to just not exist anywhere, which is really frickin' weird...

Does anyone know what version PCI-Express bus was used in the Early 2008 Core 2 Duo iMac (1.0a, 2.0, 2.1...)? The reason I need to know is I'm doing a mod to install a couple eSATA ports on the Mini PCI-Express x1 slot currently occupied by the Airport card (I believe--can anyone also confirm that the Airport card in this model iMac uses a Mini PCI-Express slot?), and I want to know what kind of bandwidth I'm going to get from the single lane PCI-E slot. Anyone have any idea? Thanks for the info!

I think it uses PM965 chipset that is based on P965 chipset that uses PCIe 1.0, thus 250MB/s per lane.
