Hi! I bought an IOCREST Dual M.2 NVMe PCIe 3,0x16 Riser. Put 2 disks Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB It shows good results and the price is low. Can anyone have comparison tests with the Sonnet M. 2 4x4 PCIe Card and OWC Accelsior 4M2 ? Please share your experience! Thank you in advance!

I have a Sonnet Fusion 4x4 that is half full: two 2TB 970 EVO Plus NVMes and it runs the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test at 6000 MB/s. It was just under.... 5950 MB/s or whatever. Same from read and write.

This is a x16 slot in a 7.1 Mac Pro.

While the numbers are kind of nice, I think we need to look at them soberly. It's not like workflow is based around moving large files around between to Fusion cards... I just did the test to see that everything was working normally: 2500-3500 for a single drive, 6000 for two and 12000 for four. Check. Now back to doing something useful....

Hello colleague! Thank you so much for your response! I wanted to understand how it works with MacPro 5.1. MP7.1 - this is the next faster generation of Macs) On it the speed of course is different)

The speed can be faster on a 7.1 if you're RAIDing 4 SSDs, but the 5.1 can still reach the 6000 MB/s with this card.

Here is some information from Sonnet.

I’ve had the syba and it runs without any problem. Runs on both 5,1 and 7,1

I am curious though. What’s better on these adapters? Heatsink or Fan?
