PCIe SSD raid cards

A while ago OCZ were trying to make a PCIe based SSD raid card. At the time it was not up to spec to be used as the system drive for Mac's (they did have it booting for Windows - not sure what they weren't complying with for Mac).
This seems like a great product if it were to work. Anyone know the status of this? Or Maybe some other company?

Promises from both OCZ and IO Fusion have been nothing but vapor last I checked (RAIDed or non-RAIDed models). Nor am I aware of any other vendor that has pulled it off (just under Windows/Linux).

First of all, revodrive and revodrive X2 works in osx with the drivers described here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1246308/
I bought a barely used revodrive x2 240GB for roughly half the price, works like a charm.

a pci-e raid card for up to 4+1 SSDs called Wings, looks very nice actually. According to the site it "boots on osx".

OCZ RevoDrive 3 X2 Max IOPS

Does anyone try Mac Pro 5.1 or 2012 model with this drive?

Will it boot? Will it be doing 1.7GB/s?

I am very disapointed, that the new Macs does not have SATA3, what is the point in having 4 drives in RAID 0 if they are running on SATA2?

The Revo 3 X2 would solve my problems, but will it works?
