I purchased PDANet 1.4 (shady bait/switch aside, their app is awesome for someone like me and I appreciate the work they've done) and received my key. Now all I have to do is log into http://my.iphone, right? Except I've never been able to log into my.iphone.

I've submitted a support ticket to JuneFabrics, but their page says they'll get back to me within 3 business days.

Hoping someone out there has a good idea on how to get my iPhone, while tethered, to connect to my.iphone on the computer side.

Thanks.

Edit:
I was able to connect, tethered, via my PC laptop, and not via my Mac. Not sure if that's somehow relevant, but worked for me.

Thats what you get for buying something shady like that.

Why buy when there is a perfectly good working version 1.33 and theres a way to get 1.40 without paying, I just see it as a full demo with unlimited time.

Oh, punishment for paying for a product! Interesting take.

Because I wanted to pay for the product I use, even though there's a hackable way around it. Thanks for your input, though.

In what sense is this App Shady!? I don't get it.

Ver1.33 had CPU Issues and no VPN Connectivity. Moreover If you see the track record of Junefabrics, they have always charged for their App and it was inevitable that this would someday become a paid App.

Yep...I've paid for it twice for two different platforms over the years and it's always worked. And I'll pay for it again for the iPhone because they deserve an income as much as anyone else and I'm not into theft. Shady? I don't think so.

The complaint I read the most was that 1.33 and 1.4 had no mention of the product becoming a trial or paid app. So it was as if JuneFabrics did a bait and switch.

I disagree with the charge of being shady, because of the history of JuneFabrics and how they've charged for their app.

Plus, it's awesome, and they deserve compensation.

Excellent points.

It's actually cheaper for the iPhone than for other platforms. Hopefully enough people pay for it to make it worth their while. Developers visit this site, I'm sure they've see the thread dedicated to hacking PDANet. Personally, I've gone back to coding for Windows Mobile because why not? If something I wrote made it to the app store, there would be a thread here crying about the price and instructions on how to hack it. So screw it. At least Windows Mobile is wide open and rock solid without Microsoft trying to micromanage every aspect of the system, hardware and carrier.
