I splurged for a copy of PDFPenPro over a year ago that I could update for $30, but I now need two licenses and currently I only have one. This bring the case I'm now pondering if I should stick with this or go for another app instead (not Adobe - I hates the Adobe!)

So, anyone got any input with this: stick with PDFPenPro, or should I head towards competitors such as the $60 PDF Expert or something else like PDF Element.

Or is this a case of 'they're all close to the same app anyway with few distinguishing features'?

What are you looking to do? Macs don’t need special software to create PDFs.

Nor does Windows. But you do need them to edit PDFs - which is why I got PDFPenPro which on the whole is fine but gives me pain points when it comes to creating documents and bookmarks as I collate other files.
