PDF Icon using Preview

Is there a way to have a PDF icon when using Preview like when Acrobat is the default app?

I have switched to Preview for the default PDF app.
I have Adobe Acrobat, but find it to be a resource hog.

The icon has switched to a generic.
Like the second attachment.

I have tried to change the icon in Preview>Contents>Resources>pdf.icns but it won't let me.

Two attachments:
1. a PDF when using Preview
2. a PDF when using Acrobat
