PDF looks weird in Preview

Hey guys, so I was making a presentation in Word and then Saved As PDF, however it looks off in Preview. It looks perfectly fine with Acrobat though.

I created the blue background by going to Format > Borders and Shading > Shading.

Any ideas of how to fix this? I don't know which program will be used when reading the presentation, and would rather not take any chances.

Does it look like that if you "Print" in Word and, in the PDF drop-down options, "Open PDF in Preview"?

Yes, and also the small preview of the printed page also has the white lines.
