Is it me or was there supposed to be PDF support for the iBooks application for the iPad

Glad to see I'm not the only one that had trouble finding it. I had thought the PDFs would show up on the same bookshelf as the iBooks. Instead, there is a small button at the top of the bookshelf to toggle between books and pdfs. It took me a while to find it . . .

Maybe I'm easily impressed by a gimmick but I'm really disappointed that PDF files don't have that page turning animation. It made me feel like I was reading an real book.

There is a way around it though. Download Calibre and use it to convert your PDF to ePub. Ta-dah!

Calibre works 90% of the time, it does struggle with a few files, for example screenplays, it cannot figure out the formatting on them so I had to leave all of them as PDFs. But for everything else it is great.
