• AppleCare Extended Warranty

• it doesn't start until the 1-year warranty has expired -- the period when the bugs are noticed and fixed for free under the mfg's warranty.
• it is a 2-year warranty covering the safest usage period -- it's not old enough for things to start wearing out.
• you can buy the extended warranty on the last day of the mfg's warranty.
• the computer is now 1 year old.
• you are going to pay 25% of the NEW COMPUTER PRICE to warranty a year old computer for the 2 years of the safest warranty period.

SUCH A BARGAIN: AppleCare

I... don't get it?

You have AppleCare with your mac for the first year for free.

at the end of one year you can buy AppleCare for an additional 2 years. -- they like to sell it to you with you new mac so you don't figure out you're spending a pile of money to warrant a ONE YEAR OLD COMPUTER.

on an mb c2d you can get new for less than 950 new, you spend $250 for the AppleCare for the next 2 years.

how much is your ONE YEAR OLD mac really worth used? 600 maybe? and you're going to spend 250 on a warranty for it!
