Hello,

My iphone 7 appeared the following message yesterday: Your battery's health is significantly degraded. An Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace the battery to restore full performance and capacity.

But Maximum Capacity is showing 100%.

Does anyone know what can it be?

They really need to just put this thing in some sort of service Menu, it’s got a lot of people freaking out.

Some of the iPhone Facebook groups have multiple posts about this everyday, people worried about their batteries due to this estimation.

You could always try a restore ? Mine went from 93% yesterday back up to 95% after a restore.

Your issue could just be a bug. I don’t think the battery health software is very reliable.

Edit. Nothing to worry about. :)

Don't pay any attention to it until you notice the battery doesn't last very long like it used to, or you're getting crashes when it's cold. Only then take a peek at the battery health app to see if it concurs

Battery capacity doesn't equal battery health.

There are at least 3 factors that affect battery health: internal resistance, self discharge, and capacity.

If your battery is old and has high internal resistance, it can't offer the current required to sustain high loads. Even if the capacity is 100%, the energy can't come out fast enough. It's still a bad battery.
